Hi, I have purchase some multiwalled Carbon nanotubes (1 Kg, packed in several bags), I have low viscosity epoxy resin but I have not tried to mix them together. I have read that ultrsonic process is required to disperse the CN, or stirring them up to 6 hours at 6000 RPM. I have not tried any method, but I would like to know id anyone have experience here. I have readed several papers and I have engineering technical background, so any question or answer from you could help me to expand my basis and start the experiment!

What is your application going to be? Nanotubes are weeeeeird.

I haven't worked with nanotubes but with other nanomaterials. Properly distributing them in a polymer matrix requires LOTS of shearing and energy. Most nanomaterials have the unfortunate property of not really wanting to separate from each other.

Search for how to properly disperse aerosil in resins, this requires specialized stirrers, this should give you an idea what's needed to do this right. An electric drill with a paint stirrer will NOT work.

I use   "EpoCyl" from the Belgian company "NanoCyl" It is Multiwall Carbon Nanotubes already pre-dispersed in Bisp-A resin, which can be easily mixed with your resin of choice.

They make pre-dispersed Nanotube material for many types of Epoxy resins.

I use it as an additive in both standard and high Tg laminating systems, and they improve both mechanical strenght, thermal and electrical conductivity, especially the improvement in thermal conductivity is usefull for my applications for high Tg laminates. They do colour the resin completely black though, so no real "cosmetic finish" in CF parts. They are brilliant for improving kevlar and mix laminates.
